Under the parent visa scheme, parents of Australian permanent resident / Australian Citizen are allowed to stay with their child in Australia.
General Information
If you have children living in Australia who are either permanent residents or Australian citizens and if you pass the balance of family test (more children living in Australia than anywhere else), you could be sponsored by them to migrate to Australia under the parent migration to Australia category.

Contributory Parent visa
It is a temporary visa, recently Australian department of immigration has brought in change to allow for a faster processing of parent migration, which otherwise taking to many years.
